It is a big bridge !
It is Tenmon-bridge that is symbol of this park.
On the Tenmom bridge, you can view Tateyama mountain range. The square was a mooring place.
The left structure is Starbucks. It is said “one of the most beautiful café”.

There are many birds!! They are Mallard.
One of the Kansui park concept is “harmony with nature”, so there are many place to feel near nature.^^
Beside with the canal, there are many paper and pulp factories. It means this canal used as timber transportation route.
“Why are they many paper factories ? Why canal was dig? ” The why thinking is useful to enjoy sightseeing place ^^
Long way to this lock ! I walked 2.5km from Temmon bridge….

As if elevator ! Why there is height difference ?
To stop flow of the river for ship. The canal’s water come from Jinzu river from upstream, and resource transport from down stream. It is difficult for carrier to head upstream in flow.
I see ! If we stop flow, the water become height !!
After motorization, the canal has finished its role that develop industrial. Now we use it place as relaxation , feel nature and culture. The canal’s history continue to flow.
