Today I will introduce a toyama sightseeing spot ^^
Kurobe Gorge Railway has long history. This railway was constructed to build hydroelectric power plant for aluminum industry in 1917. First the train carry only materials and workers, but many people want to use this train to go to hiking. So the company started tourism business.
At the beginning, this railway was not suitable for tourism. So company said “We can not keep safety”.
Are the plants used now ?
Yes. The power is sent Kansai. And this railway was used to maintenance them.
I went to there with my friend in summer. In summer, Toyama’s weather is almost rainy. This day was too. But thanks for fog, we could enjoy fantastic view.
Good view !! But it is rainy…. What is the favorite season to go there ? .
I think the best is autumn, late October～November. This season leaves are beautiful ^^
